What does the current Captain #America tell us about American foreign #policy?

Production on the latest #Marvel #film, which is currently in cinemas, began long before the unexpected re-election of Donald #Trump and the resulting anti-woke atmosphere in the US. So the movie was rewritten for the MAGA audience and many scenes had to be reshot. I think there are still enough points of criticism for the attentive viewer, of the current Trump policy between the lines of the plot.

1) There's a dialog at the beginning about the president wanting to rebuild the #Avengers and not wanting to abide by the Sokovia Accords. This is a metaphor for the fact that international law no longer has any meaning and the law of the strongest applies, and the strongest force is the Avengers, who must therefore be under American control.

2) It's about controlling an island where the rare mineral Adamantium can be found. This island could be #Taiwan and the Adamantium stands for the chip production there, which can be used to control world trade. But the #conflict over the islands in the South China Sea could also be meant.

3) So that the movie can be easily marketed in #China, the bad guys in the movie are the Japanese, who want to steal the island from the US.

4) The US president is blackmailed and controlled by a villain who turns the president into an orange monster. It doesn't get any clearer than that, does it?
