#Toyota’s Akio Toyoda appeared in full #MAGA gear wearing a Trump/Vance T-shirt in Fuji Speedway, hosting a NASCAR-style racing event designed to flatter Trump during tariff negotiations.

Incredibly bad taste. I love Toyota products (and I think Akio Toyoda is a true car enthusiast), but this has put a sour taste in my mouth. Surely they understand that this act alienates a HUGE segment of the global car-buying public.

Connecticut Towing Companies Frequently Value Cars Low, Allowing Them to Sell Vehicles Quickly

A database created by The Connecticut Mirror and ProPublica of more than 6,000 forms submitted by the state’s towing companies shows a pattern of low values, including for some luxury cars.

I was under the impression that the #BMW “piped in engine sound” that has been a thing since the F3x/F8x generation (2013+) was actually amplifying sound taken from a microphone, but it turns out that the sound is entirely synthetic, simulated based on the engine RPM and other parameters using a dedicated amplifier that I assume is then mixed in with the rest of the audio system.

I know this because it turns out you can select which engine’s sounds you want to emulate using Bimmercode.
