#Musk Loses
A federal #jury has sided with #OpenAI & its top executives in a feud with #ElonMusk, who accused them of betraying a shared vision for it to guide #ArtificialIntelligence’s development as a #nonprofit dedicated to #humanity’s benefit.
The nine-person jury unanimously found that Musk waited too long to file his lawsuit & missed the deadline for the statute of limitations.

RE: mastodon.gamedev.place/@eniko/…
Bad intent aside, I think a lot of people intuitively think 10% is a small error rate, because the things we do often enough for 1 error in 10 to compound become routine & we overlook them.
The irony is that we can do that precisely because those things have FAR lower error rates. If your coffee maker exploded several times a week you'd fucking notice.
Just another way digital tech gets a pass we'd never afford anything else.
Discuss.

Still can't believe people thought it was a good idea to take the chatbots that are disastrously wrong 10% of the time and make them do work autonomouslyEniko Fox (Gamedev Mastodon)
