Its a classic case of false economies:
the engineered crisis in the NHS (which has both boosted private health care, there's a surprise, *and* widened health inequalities) is actually a key element in holding back the UK's economic potential.
Not only are there good humanistic arguments for sorting out the crisis in the health services, there is also a good national 'business case'; resolving the NHS's crisis is both pro-business *and* pro-worker!

RE: mastodon.social/@Thayer/116002…To follow up on the situation where non consensual NHS AI got my medical notes wrong: it is possible to have AI removed from your NHS note taking that's on by default. You have to request it in writing from your GP. I have now managed after a request in Feb, and have it confirmed in writing. Recommend you do to!!!
