Then an ape throws a bone into the air and in the next cut you can see a space station orbiting the earth. This is a metaphor for the fact that we invented the tool first and then later we can no longer live without our tool. It is one thing that somebody doesn't WRITE their own papers, and another if they don't PROOF-READ their own papers – but a completely different thing altogether if the editors and reviewers don't read/see what's been written in a manuscript! Good lord!
