So essentially #Meta imagines a world, in which people don't even have to write their own messages to family and friends anymore?

Like we are not talking useless emails read by a bot here:
techcrunch.com/2026/03/26/what…

Guess it's a good time to reddit.com/r/DeMeta/, to avoid massive amounts of inauthentic messages?

@socialmedia omg, it's unreadable at times. This really feels like Meta is trying to one-up Microsoft for the meaningless-drivel-on-every-timeline award.
in reply to Chris Alemany

@chris haha Their future might look like: your AI reading your colleagues or friends AI text and then sending a reply based on your browsing history ;) @socialmedia

@daniel easily, they do all the nasty stuff before/after the encryption/decryption.

E2EE protects you from prying eyes during the transfer and is absolutely useless when the probe in inserted directly into your device.

@torf 😭

Everyone's keyboard is owned by Google anyways and the backups got to gdrive and whatnot

I give up (X2)

in reply to Daniel, aka. CactiChameleon9

@daniel even on mobile you can install #GrapheneOS. On PC the keyboard is just physical.

They got to gdrive if you don't set otherwise.

in reply to Torf und Schnee

@torf I'm on graphene, I use Linux on the PC, I self host my own data on my server.

I'm doing okay - just minor despair at how pointless it all is

in reply to Daniel, aka. CactiChameleon9

@daniel @torf

Honestly I suspected half of this, good to know you also think so, started to feel a bit paranoid haha

Yeah defeat - never!

Good work CatiChameleon ❀
