So here's Carrie, named after Carrie Fisher (not Carrie Bradshaw, not Stephen King's Carrie, though the possibility of her setting everything on fire if you delay feeding her for too long isn't zero), and Tiffie, named after Tiffany Aching from Terry Pratchett's Discworld books.

I bought a cheap Christmas tree just to see what my formerly feral wild men would do to it. Turns out they're big fans of batting at the ornaments and playing soccer with them, but they have yet to tip the tree over climbing it.

We did have a chaotic moment last night, though, when the house panther got a claw stuck in a branch and kept trying to yank it out.

The Bannister Game

Caramel's favourite game is waiting on the stairs for me to tap the outside of the wood, so he can try to catch me. He's such a gentle old boy, he never uses his claws, just soft paws, until he gets a bit excited and forgets. Me saying "ow" in the right tone of voice is enough to make him remember. Such a sweetheart.
