I bought a $25 shower head that holds dog shampoo in a container and has three spray settings: Off, Water, Shampoo-Water.
It is such a time saver.
I have a second bathroom so I never need to take it off unless I have company. Mayhem goes in and out in under 10 minutes like it’s a car wash.
(Which given how much she likes to roll around on the ground…)

After our housework was done, we skipped off to the refuge.
Today is extra warm for our neck of the woods, so Summer headed right for the water.
I threw the stick, and she worked on improving her diving score.
I gave her a 10 every time, but I'm biased.

One thing about Moxxi is that she has zero chill when we're at the cabin. There's always so much to do and so much to see that she stays up until she crashes at about 8pm.

My husband and I just adopted this sweet girl from Michigan Humane. She is a very large lap dog and cuddlebug, and a crazy ball of energy. Unfortunately, she has heartworm and will need some powerful treatment that requires that her heart rate stay low for about 3 months. No walks longer than 5 minutes. No chasing squirrels in the backyard. Good luck to us!! (photo attached)

There's a bench in my apartment and when I sit on it, that tells Benson one of two things is happening:
We're getting ready for a walk.
Or it's Mommy time.
Mommy time is when Benson asks for physical affection and play. And he plays *rough*.
I think people would be alarmed if they saw the way me and Benson play. He's all big head, wide open mouth, big teeth, and crazy eyes jumping and pulling and tugging and zoomie-ing, and biting (on the toys in my hands), and growling. It's effing terrifying looking. He makes me laugh. I love it.
A couple times I misjudge the distance between my fingers and his canines but not very often. He sometimes gets too excited and wants to chew on my shoe but not very often.
He's big and heavy and those teeth are no joke. But he's my big Schmoopie.

Cookie: still recovering from vet scare but still wants to climb stairs as fast as she can manage
Yesterday was the last day with my #BabySquirrel #Ramone 💔.
My #rescue dog Linus & I drove several hours to bring him to a licensed #wildlife rescue org.
I woke him early to get him well hydrated before the long drive.
Of course there’s a last video for all of Ramone’s fans…

Cookie was banned from the bed because she snores so loudly it sounds like a trumpet and flugelhorn section in your ears (even with custom earplugs on). Then she was allowed on again coz I was sad that she was sick. Now she’s better and I guess I’m never getting her off the bed again (her loud snores are the rhythm of my dreams ahahaha)

Cookie’s vet just called back with her new test results. Everything she had which was previously 2-5x more than normal (all liver related) have all come back to well within normal. The vet now recommends keeping her on this medication and routine for as long as possible (instead of euthanasia)! There was a moment a few weeks ago when we didn’t know if she’d make it, or what her quality of life would be. She’s really surprised everyone with her will to live well.
