Storm Ashley was definitely making its presence felt over Derwent Water yesterday.
Swirls of water dancing on the surface as mini tornadoes formed and banks of haze over 30 feet tall being dragged across the lake as the wind rushed through Borrowdale and up towards Skiddaw.
The most brutal conditions I've ever shot in and some of the toughest light so here's a quick snippet. Compositionally poor, but the feeling of being there in the moment was astounding!

I hosted an utterly fantastic photo walk this morning in Cannock Chase.
Yes the rain was torrential at times but it still gave us some superb images - those silver birch were just outstanding!
