OK, this is my last #auroraborealis shot for tonight from Hamburg – it seems to have calmed down & besides, I need some sleep.

But even with the cloud & rain, the red light shone through, along with Jupiter, the Hyades, & the Pleiades.

Am very jealous of those with clear skies, but this is kind of a cool shot all the same 🤷‍♂️👍

Last night we got in the car and drove the mile or so to the top of a hill outside our small Pennsylvania town to view the #aurora . We were among the first to arrive. What we didn't expect, was the arrival of a lot more folks and the ensuing festival like atmosphere. Exclamations of "Oh Wow!", "That's amazing!", #I can"t believe it!" It was pretty cool to see people so excited. #AuroraBorealis #commonground

Getting some #AuroraBorealis in northern Ohio! So far can’t see much with the naked eye but long exposure or night mode on a camera is bringing out some gorgeous colors!

Up until this year, I hadn't personally seen the Aurora Borealis. I finally saw them faintly for the first time last May. I took some 15 sec exposure shots with a DSLR to see those properly.

Tonight I was letting the dogs out for a last run before going to bed and woah!!! These just hit me in the face almost!

I'm based about 25KM east of Limerick City, which is in the mid-west of Ireland. Auroras are very rare this far south.

These photos were taken in Night mode on a Pixel 7 Pro and came out pretty close to what I was seeing with my own eyes.
