#ux issues for newcomers to #peertube:
- if you make a Peertube account on one website, you can’t use that login to like/comment on another Peertube website (ideal would be persistent login across all PT websites)
- you can’t sign into a Peertube website using your Mastodon account so you can like/comment. But you CAN do that from your Mastodon app.
Quite an alien UX, if you’re used to YouTube.
Can anyone recommend #PeerTube accounts to follow? I'm specifically interested in science, tech, politics, and gaming content, but please feel free to mention other stuff as well. I currently follow

I have a peertube account and have started synching it with my youtube, so if I've done stuff correctly (probably not), it should be slowly pulling all my youtube videos over here:
If you want to try PeerTube, the official PeerTube app IS NOT currently a good way to do it. Due to silly app store rules it is missing key features, and there are much better alternatives.
If you just want to watch and interact with PeerTube videos, it's easiest to do it from within Mastodon. For example try visiting @michellemay

Many of the donkeys and mules in our care get to spend the summer at a nearby nature reserve.
This video shows two of them reunited with their friends.

I just imported my first video from Vimeo - it took just a few minutes and it automatically grabbed its description and subtitle file. An excellent experience so far (from the POV of a creator) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
