Each ear of wheat extends its tip line in any direction. They are dense, but the golden ears sway slowly in the wind.

Colour photograph, taken in the gloaming half-light, of a pair of panelled wooden doors. They are painted a soft moss green colour, but the paint is cracked and chipped and peeling to an astonishing extent, revealing pale wood underneath. There is a symmetrical pair of door knockers in the shape of faces with what look like Egyptian headdresses, made of metal but it is impossible to see what type of metal under the tarnish and grime. To me the doors look welcoming and friendly, despite, or indeed because of, their shabby state, and I'd love to go and hang out in the presumably equally neglected Miss Havisham of a house that they open into, but I suspect that it might not be so appealing to someone with less finely-honed Goth-y sensibilities.
