Leonotis nepetifolia aka Lions Ears aka Wille Dagga which translated means Wild Cannabis. It is indigenous to South Africa
The petals are psychoactive but less strong than cannabis. The plant was used by the San hunter gatherer people of Southern Africa in their trance dance rituals.
The plants are not legally restricted and are found in many suburban gardens. Surprisingly it became a very popular plant during COVID lockdown
