FWIW, I've submitted a proposal on Mozilla Ideas: https://connect.mozilla.org/t5/ideas/release-a-minimal-version-of-thunderbird-thunderbird-basic/idi-p/57178

I see some people are really disappointed about Debian packaging a stripped-down version of KeePassXC. But hey, I actually wish there was also a minimal @thunderbird package without integrations of IRC or Matrix etc, just with core email functionality.
More bug fixes, including F-Droid metadata! Material 3 progress and targeting Android 14. All this AND glimpses of a two-app future in the April 2024 Progress Report for Thunderbird for Android. 📱 ✨

Don't mind me, just reading the news while trying to figure out a #Thunderbird issue where it doesn't download all the emails...
No need for spells, eldritch invocations, or inherent abilities to see Thunderbird's dark side. To enable dark mode in Thunderbird:

Feel free to tell everyone you know about this! Repeatedly.

That's cool. But I'm getting more and more worried about the state of the #RSS reader in #thunderbird
Before, it read all the feeds on my list of feeds to read. No sweat, no drama. Now it's reading less and less of a chunk. It' starts reading and then simply stops without telling me why. I'm having to subdivide the list into sublists and call the reader on each to have them read in full. That's very annoying. And time-consuming.
The Thunderbird Beta channel just updated to version 126.0b1, and it brings major visual improvements to Cards View! 😍

A big round of applause to Micah and Sol from our UX team for their awesome work on this, and to our community for your valuable feedback here and on our #Thunderbird UX mailing list (https://thunderbird.topicbox.com/groups/ux).
Hi, listened to the podcast a few moments ago, and some comments.
The TB Conversations addon works again, since a few months, without real problems.
Firefox mobile has extensions since 3 years or so. It just had a really restricted extensions list and not all where compatible. You could and still can add a custom addon collection on nightly-based browsers. This did not change, they simply changed the store.
