Hi everyone!
I've rejoined the Fediverse and have been here on and off since the beginning, so I'm familiar with everything.
I love popular culture, reading books, watching movies, and occasionally playing video games. I also do photography but rarely share the pictures online. I have two cats.
I'm a software developer. At work, I use functional programming languages and .NET, but in my free time, I write #Rust and #Elixir.

More and more #Python packages depends on #Rust.
Just tried to install jsonschema and found that it requires a newer Rust version than #Debian #bookworm can offer.
I think pip and venv should somehow cater for rust binary installation in the future or else the whole virtual environment makes no sense.

I always remember that Advent of Code is happening about halfway through December, and feel like it's not worth trying at that point. So, here's your reminder:

Good news everybody: #Blink the cross-platform #Jellyfin player written in #Rust just fixed a major problem where Audio player would not move to the next track.
