Thanks, Daniel! The "depth" is just an illusion and comes from a creative approach to visualize cell ages. It's all one-and-a-half D only, though... 😉 2.5D would in principle be possible to, but somewhat harder to visualize/appreciate the interesting structures forming. Could be an animation or in 3D, handled like in the attached images, but even there a lot of the interesting internal structures forming are often getting lost once a certain complexity is reached (see info in alt text)...

an arboreal frugivore i designed & modelled! it is a riekeu. their fangs are hollow so they can slorp the content of fruit up like a straw.

the creature model itself took 2 months of my life, the rest are assets i made around 2016 for a game i've since put on hiatus

a creature that looks like a combination between a dragon, bat, bird & dinosaur is running towards the camera, wings outstretched, in a takeoff pose. it is brightly coloured purple and green with a mixture of scales and feathers all over its body. its eyes have no pupil or iris and they are glowing. it has membrane wings and a very long decorative tail. the background is a starry sky plus alien looking trees, plants & rocks. there are glowing pink mushrooms among them.

this funky lil dude is a rainforest creature called a riekeu. they feed on fruit - their fangs are hollow, so they act kind of like straws to slurp the juice...
