I really have hard time to understand why every technology must be bent around the non-sensical word #contentcreator...
Who cares about "content creators" ... For me "content creators" means publishing superficial & arguable topics with very low budget on the internet... WOW... Super... 😑
It looks like we (not exactly me) are all addicted to consume content on the internet that we can't live without "content creators" . 🤦♂️
For me "content creators" are another symptom of the #Fediverse #enshittification, because they are a product of the "nasty social media" to let people sticking in front of a screen.
If you are against the "nasty social media" the last thing that you want on the Fediverse are the "content creators" .
Please save the Fediverse from "content creators" ... 🙏
I finally reached the point when I had to turn off the Predictive Text feature of my iPhone entirely.
I remember this moment back in 2019 when I was so impressed by it. It always guessed the right word and corrected my typos instantly. I felt like it was *reading into my soul*
Then, one update later, it suddenly became complete garbage and it didn't stop getting worse over the years. Replacing words with words completely unconnected. Missing all the typos. Suggesting "their" to replace "there" when *there* was definitely correct. Even worse, it started mixing up my 2 languages and replacing English words with French words 🤦♀️
I can't believe a feature that was just perfect degraded so much in 5 years, until it became completely unusable. Why? This is just sad.
#enshittification time!

I haven't kept up with any pop culture news in a long time. I honestly do not care about Drake and Kendrick, or Bieber becoming a father, or this meta fashion whatever or any tech CEO having interviews about AI.
Think it's time to update my RSS feeds, remove some tech news and add more blog feeds. Lately I'm getting more satisfaction from everyone else and their stories.

This is what true enshittification of Windows 11 is, unless you pirate the enterprise version.
This really shows that we need more competition. Linux is not seen as an alternative given the lack of commercial software support (e.g. lack of Adobe apps, which is used in the creative industry, etc, along with apps that only work on Windows and/or Mac).
This is why I use a Mac instead of Windows, because I don't like Windows, but I have a laptop that runs Windows to run a few apps that are Windows only. But only having two viable choices isn’t that great, likewise with iOS and Android.
If only BeOS, OS/2, etc. was still a thing, maybe it wouldn't be this bad.
Also, Windows 7 was the last “good" Windows OS until it basically turned to crap.

Why is Windows 11 so annoying?
By using every opportunity to bundle, wheedle, and nag, Microsoft has made its OS feel decidedly low rent.Nathan Edwards (The Verge)
If corporations are a form of slow AI, then what @pluralistic calls #enshittification is indicative of an "alignment problem", when the objective function (paperclip maximization) is persued by destructive means. And like all alignment problems, it has to do with a lack of, or the wrong, constraints.
