Been busy working on some DIY projects the past couple days. Pretty tiring lol.
Was trying to get a media host on one of my domains "easily" and I found a solution to that.
Now, I'm gonna work on Plex with Sonarr, Radarr, and Jackett.π
I love self-hosting. Even though I'm still a Linux noob and following detailed guides to a T.
Is NextCloud the only way to have a folder that's accessible over the web for Windows? π€
Been wanting to do this without paying extra for a NAS. I have like 10 TB of storage on my windows PC and it'd be quite useful if I can utilize it for backing up my iPhone and Android pics/videos.
Is there a way to "easily" host a media hosting site?
Something like a docker package or something with very detailed instructions?
Specifically, I'm looking for something that's available via browser and has an upload interface with some sort of media viewing capabilities for photos and videos.
Bonus if it has user accounts and the entire system could connect to backblaze object storage.
I'm doubting that this is a thing. However, I've been pleasantly surprised before by Fedi.
Any ideas?

Today I'm talking about #jellyfin, the service which got me excited about #homelabbing and #selfhosting in the first place.
Here's a blog where I went into depths of how I manage #media in my homelab with Jellyfin and #arr stack.

I'm currently trying to migrate a #mastodon server from masto.host to self-hosted and having problems (I already shut down the server, so I'm posting from an old account).
Does somebody know which files in the backup are which in the mastodon migration guide?
I'm also having trouble with restoring the PostgreSQL backup ('pg_restore: error: connection to server on socket "/var/run/postgresql/.s.PGSQL.5432" failed: FATAL: Peer authentication failed for user "mastodon"').
Thanks for any help!
(It would be nice if someone could boost this, because given that this is an old account, I don't think many people would see this post otherwise.)
