I, btw, also still regularly reach out to vendors to ask for #linuxaudio support and keep track of their responses here: linuxaudio.dev/linux-support-r…

Please check if your favorite vendors are listed—and let me know if not. ☺️

My blog on #mastering with #LinuxAudio #LinuxProAudio just got updated with a second part!

German version:
kurzelinks.de/LinuxBlog
English version:
kurzelinks.de/LinuxBlogEN

After tackling #distro and #DE choices and general theory in the first part, now I'm diving into #benchmark performance comparisons, #audio #plugin tests and developer exchanges, mastering practices with audio examples and much more.
Part 3 is already in the works (Merging Hardware Support, WinBoat, LLM assistance,...)

RE: mastodon.social/@CrowsLabyrint…

This looks cool, and there's even a Linux version. I love that there's a standalone app, so I could potentially just use my little Linux tablet as a looper in the context of a hardware setup.

Have any of you #linuxaudio enthusiasts heard of StompTones?

They seem to offer an entire range of #guitar pedal #plugin (s) for #linux (#vst3 and #lv2).

See stomptones.com/. 😎

2/3 The first new #linuxaudio vendor is UB DSP.

And, their currently only #plugin is called Grit Blender—a fun #harmonics toolbox that makes it super easy to add warmth and, well, grit to your audio signals.

Check it out at ubdsp.com/!

3/3 The second new (to me) #linuxaudio #plugin vendor and their debug plugin is PAA Audio and "Not Another Glue-Comp"—a pretty out of the ordinary but well executed stereo bus #compressor.

Check it out at paa-audio.de/!

I think "Power Grid Disruptor" is Korneff Audio's 3rd #linuxaudio #plugin, after "Chocolate Milk" and the "SITRAL Klangfilter". And, it is #free right now!

I haven't been able to try it myself yet. I initially thought it was an April Fool's joke, but I downloaded and activated it, so it seems to be legit. 😜

I have tested the Open Apollo driver on my Apollo Twin X and Apollo 8P using CachyOS. It works!

The Twin comes up as Apollo Solo, but works. The Apollo 8P was supposed to not be supportet (Thunderbolt 2 related), but they made it work while we were in touch today.

I simply wouldn't have guessed anyone would engage in trying to reverse engineer a UAD driver for Linux, amazing!

I found this neat set of plugins for #Linux, but they run into a typical #Debian / #Ubuntu problem.

They need a library that Ubuntu has dropped, libgl1-mesa-glx

I just wanted a better overdrive than the one of #Guitarix, now I'm lost sysadminning again, which kills my creative mood. But we will see.
