I’m curious if someone has given the new Wayland Native VST3 translation layer “Arthur” a spin?

It’s still very new, and I have a hard time understanding what I would actually be installing if I tried, since I don’t understand the technical side of things.

Oi! Someone made an app for changing configurations on different midi devices.

Now I can finally change the programs on my old midi controller, and make it work with one of the available Bitwig Extensions giving me transport buttons, volume/pan/macro control and more.

That suddenly becomes a pretty powerful unit!

The JACK standalone versions now have an option to disable autoconnect (since PipeWire session managers autoconnect well, but can't be instructed to automatically break a connection).

A balance.lv2 in-place processing bug was fixed, midifilter.lv2 now includes a chromatic cluster plugin (motivated by @nielso and setBFree finally uses a LPF for smooth swell-pedal gain changes.

Remember to keep writing vendors and letting them know that we are a lot of Music producers, sound designers, composers, mixers, mastering engineers and all the other great DAW users who already switched to Linux, are in the middle of the switch or are activily searching for a way to make the jump!

TapeHack has become a very welcome addition to my day-to-day mixing tools. I use it as a soft-clipper. If you set the output slider to 0.5 and adjust input to taste, it clips incoming signals to -6dB, which is great for highly transient material like drums. I prefer the original TapeHack, as it seems to handle Reaper's oversampling algo better than TapeHack2.
