For those in the #US, now is the time to call #GOP senators and congresspeople to demand they vote for the one line resolution "There is no emergency" and therefor #Trump has no power to levy #tariffs. They must be forced to lift the equivalent of their legislative pinkies and end this madness, or we will rub their faces in the results--like a dog that's pissed on your best rug. π The #FascistGOP must own this if they take no action to stop it!!
One of the best things about hobbling my corpse to the friendly neighborhood #handsoff protest today was meeting someone in my building on their way at the same time.
Margaret Sullivan says she asked friends and relatives in various locations what kind of reporing their local media did about the massive worldwide protests Saturday against Trump:
"Quick answer: Not close to what it deserved."
Then she did her own research, and found:

Yesterday the Washington Post app ran a story about the #handsoff #protests at the top of the app. Today it is hard to find any coverage. This is now buried in the "The District" section of the app and only found by searching for me.

So, folks - we need to have a chat. I've seen a large number of #handsoff #protest photos. While I am deeply grateful to anyone protesting in whatever form, please keep from posting photos that reveal faces and/or identities of people you haven't have explicit permission from.
#OpSec is incredibly hard - protestors might not be aware of the (possible) consequences of having their identities posted and shared online.
It still needs to be a choice, whether any individual wants to be linked to the protest they've partaken in. Even if they did not wear a mask.

#HandsOff protests: did any media report how many protesters there were in the US? When we have these in France they are always obsessed by the size buy I can't seem to find an estimation for these ones..
