Most of the gas labeled 88 at American pumps is #E10, 10% ethanol. And ethanol does indeed help make gas cheaper. But it is 33% less efficient, and in hot months dramatically increases smog.
Ethanol is also a hygroscopic solvent. Unless a vehicle is labeled "flex fuel", running 15% ethanol for more than a tank or two may cause damage to seals, rubber bits, and even aluminum. If your engine was manufactured before 2001, E15 can melt your valves. Literally.
It makes the car run less efficiently, produces significantly more #pollution, and can damage many existing vehicles on the market.
Believe it or not, and I'm having trouble, two #GOP Senators said it best when they said: Expansion of #E15: A gift to the #ethanol lobby and a consumer betrayal:

Everybody hates #robocalls. But, despite tech reporting being willing to give the #FCC leeway, this new measure is not to stop robocalls, it won’t do a damn thing to stop robocalls. What it does is make burner phones illegal.
Burners are an integral part of many social justice actions. Protestors use them to record #ICE and other #cops. We include them in “Go Bags” to let abused women and children escape. They allow for anonymity.
