Mimela junii (Scarabaeidae, Coleoptera) is native to the Mediterranean area, but appears meanwhile also in Central Europe and Germany, where it can establish due to warmer climate conditions based on global warming. The species is reported to be introduced due to human transport to Central Europe and must therefore be named neozoon. I found this specimen in Berlin district Schöneberg in July 2025. I filmed behaviors of it and released the video on 29 March 2026. This photo is based on a video frame from this YouTube Video.
