So, as he often does, Trump hitched his wagon to the side that was already going to win so he could claim the win for himself.
#Trump doesn't really care about all of that other stuff. He's spineless and oblivious to anything of substance.
He just wants the superficial chance to proclaim himself a winner again in front of his adoring crowd, and all of that factual stuff is just irrelevant annoyance.
Sometimes Trump's most ardent supporters admit that the guy has a pattern of hitching himself to whatever cause looks like it's already going to win, so he can claim the success of other people.
The primary results from yesterday seem to be a fine example of that.
The NAACP is calling on Black student-athletes to boycott Southern colleges after the Supreme Court decision that weakened the Voting Rights Act. “The NAACP will not watch the same institutions that depend on Black athletic prowess to fill their stadiums and their bank accounts remain silent while their states strip Black communities of their voice,” NAACP National President and CEO Derrick Johnson said in a statement. But he also has something of a point: after World Liberty Financial promised they were a solution to “debanking” and that “no one’s ever going to tell you that your account is shut down”, they proceeded to do exactly that to Sun.

In World Liberty’s defamation suit against Sun, they claim that their ability to freeze his tokens was well known to him, and that claiming they installed a secret “backdoor” is defamatory. The crypto industry is ramping up polling to try to (once again) convince legislators who are up for re-election that they need to support the industry’s legislative agenda in order to win over voters. But two massively different poll results illustrate the dubiousness of these polls.

Sadly, this keeps coming up in case after case on this topic: NO the courts didn't ban mailing of abortion pills, and the banning of abortion pills is not what's going up to the Supreme Court.
What happened was that the FDA seems to admit that it acted in violation of law, and courts are grappling with how to respond to likely illegal agency actions as the legal process moves forward.
All of this other stuff surrounding RvW and abortion access are secondary to the core case about an agency acting illegally.
And that's acting illegal in the context of drug regulation at that. It's probably kind of imporant! but getting lost in the drama and sensational political rhetoric.
Critically, the situation in #Louisiana was already chaos as different courts said that the electoral map was both required AND forbidden.
The Supreme Court ruling brought some order to that chaos, but state officials are still trying to clean up the chaos that existed before the SCOTUS ruling.
This kind of thing has been a longstanding result of the VRA and its interpreters.
