Black and white macro photograph of ice on the surface of cedar leaf scales. The leaf scales are distributed over two small branches and the ice has frozen between them, forming a kind of bright and translucent triangle, with a perfectly round hole in its middle. Photographie macro en noir et blanc de glace sur la surface des écailles d'une feuille de cèdre. Les écailles de la feuille se distribuent sur deux petites branches et la glace s'est figée entre les deux, formant une sorte de triangle brillant et translucide, avec un trou parfaitement rond en son milieu.

I was on the moors today studying lichens but couldn't ignore these beautiful hoar frost crystals on an iron gate, photographed with my OM System Tough TG7. Their structure is amazing.
