Red pond lilies, happy to grow in elevated rock pools full of rain water and centuries of seagull droppings.
A beautiful walk today along the South West Coast Path from Bovisand eastward.
For #WildFlowerWednesday here's some favourites:
Hogweed (Heracleum sphondylium) with Common Red Soldier Beetle (Rhagonycha fulva) also commonly known as Hogweed Bonking Beetle
Goat's-beard (Tragopogon pratensis) seed head shining golden in the sun
Honeysuckle (Lonicera periclymenum) as fragrant as ever
Wild Thyme (Thymus praecox) fragrant *and* sumptuous colours

If you're lucky you'll find a friend who gets you... who really sees you. That friendship can be so important to helping you grow and blossom.
Looking at you @Wallflower 🙂
Hibiscus "Oiseau Bleu" in my front yard.
The first flower got scorched in the sun, the second flower caught fire, fell over and then sank into the swamp, but the third flower... The third flower is beautiful!
