GitHub has been having issues all week long. Today alone it’s been degraded or not working for at least four at the time of this post. Do I know that GitHub itself is using AI for its own codebase? Nope. But given the CEO’s word, I’m sure there’s a good amount of vibe coding and/or AI written code in there.

Which makes me ask, as of August 2025, former CEO of GitHub Thomas Dohmke: So how’s all this AI working out?
