Just finished working on some pages for a kids' art #zine we're making for upcoming community #Kwanzaa celebrations. Each child will be given a gift bag with zines, stickers, clay and other little art supplies. Last year, I just attended the celebration and this year I'm happy to be involved. I've never celebrated Kwanzaa in my home, but its a really good way to feel connected and grounded in positive ethics.

Hallo, willkommen in der Snailworld! Hier gibt es Schnecken zu sehen, die noch niemand je zu Gesicht bekommen hat! Heute die Schnecklinge (gastropoda nanus)
Schnecklinge sind in der Regel so klein, dass sie leicht übersehen und zertreten werden. Deshalb tragen sie unterwegs oft eine Schneckenlaterne.
Ein großes und ein kleines Schneckenhaus stehen auf kleinen Füßchen nebeneinander. Sie besitzen dünne Ärmchen mit zarten Händen, die über der mittleren Wölbung ihres Schneckenhauses wie über einem Bauch liegen. Die größte Windung des Schneckenhauses bildet eine Art Ballonrock, die vorvorletzte den Kopf und die letzten beiden Windungen einen winzigen Dutt. Bei der kleineren Schnecklingin sieht man aus der Öffnung einen sehr kleinen Schneckling herausschauen. Sie hält zudem an einer Schnur einen Schneckenballon, in dem eine Kerze brennt. Das Motiv ist gerahmt mit einem Fries von Blättern, Nacktschnecken, Salatköpfen, Äpfeln und Monden.
