Several former Google employees who were fired from the company for protesting against its cloud contract with the Israeli government have filed a complaint with the U.S. labor board.
The single-page complaint claims Googleβs termination of their contracts was illegal and interferes with their rights to advocate for better working conditions, with one former employee claiming he was fired for simply watching the protest. @techspot has more.

Absolutely amazing story about #Google. Apparently Google sucks because they ousted their old head of search and replaced him with the old head of search from freakin' Yahoo, the very same guy who tanked Yahoo search in the late '00s.
This guy then made Google results worse so they could show you more ads as you make multiple search attempts because you aren't getting the results you want. And the entire thing is documented in company e-mails released in the recent antitrust case against Google.
Freakin' INCREDIBLE.

The Man Who Killed Google Search
This is the story of how Google Search died, and the people responsible for killing it. The story begins on February 5th 2019, when Ben Gomes, Googleβs head of search, had a problem.Edward Zitron (Ed Zitron's Where's Your Ed At)
"What if your computer made a little noise each time it sends data to #Google?
It's not only about the data transfer itself. Imagine the amount of network traffic required when this happens to everyone active online. And the storage and CPU power required to process it all. Yeah, you get it."

Goose, an ex-Googler, didn't participate in the sit-in, but got fired anyway. They witnessed harassment of workers who spoke out against Project Nimbus.
Evan took part in the sit-in, and was fired without warning or investigation. Quotes a saying:
"When the wrong person uses the right means, the right means work in the wrong way."
Project Nimbus is textbook evil.
Google has been lying about the Project Nimbus contract over and over again. Nimbus falls directly under the 'israeli' military.
Google and Amazon are directly aiding and abetting the genocidal campaign in Gaza through this contract.
Instead of taking responsibility and terminating all collaboration with the occupation forces, Google punches down against workers who raise concerns.
An ex-Googler who joined the sit-in on 16 April at the NYC office: They were doxxed by a co-worker, and experienced harassment during the sit-in. Google security didn't intervene. The next day, they were fired.
They haven't been told which policies, if any, they are supposed to have violated.
They encourage others to keep speaking up -- especially in large numbers.
Another testimony from a fired ex-Googler: At Google we talk a lot about feedback. But feedback to Google itself isn't tolerated. Instead, Google is lying about what really happened, and retaliates against workers who speak out.
A Palestinian-American ex-Googler, who has family in Gaza, gives testimony about how they were fired from Google for holding up a sign in support of Palestine outside the building.
They weren't even part of the sit-ins.
Terminated by an automated email.
