Brazil saw its hottest year in 2024. Although the high temperatures affected all regions of the country, three biomes were especially impacted, with drought, fire and deforestation transforming the landscape into apocalyptic scenes. In the Amazon, extreme drought turned some of the world’s most powerful rivers into sand deserts.

Throwback to 1990's action films, but shallow, unbelievable and with too much talking.

For an action film, the action was rather tame with zero thrill.

There was some really low rent blue screen and special effects.

My wife informed me this morning that our billing system had been knocked offline.

The reason? #Amazon, #OpenAI, and similar bot scraping traffic blew up my access logs to the point of filling that server's entire drive. They're constantly scraping and re-scraping my FreeBSD wiki.

Reacher Season 3: I just finished and it was pretty meh.

Six really slow episodes with tiny sporadic bursts of unmemorable action. A 7th episode rushing to get plot lines aligned for an 8th episode crammed full of hard to follow action. The pacing was horrible.

I wouldn’t mind the show wrapping it up now. But we know another season is coming.
