Here's a thought for folks on #Mastodon and other servers.
Would it be possible to build a server in Docker and move to it, accepting that I will not save anything, then migrate it to the proper URL after thst part?
I figure this procedure might solve my server issues and maybe cut down how much I use as well as maybe migrate from Mastodon to something with better features.

Anyone have any idea what could cause federated instances to *not* pull in profile pics and headers?
I am running a separate Sharkey (Misskey fork) instance and there's a few examples of this happening.
I have CDN with Cloudflare and that seems to work. The "remote caching" feature on Sharkey is turned off. I DO have Authorized Fetch on (maybe this is the issue?) However, both my instance and another instance have issues pulling icons and headers both ways (Mine doesn't show up on certain instances either)
Most of the stuff that I talked about here, I've just done today, so it COULD be that it just needs time to update, but I am unsure right now.

It is pretty cool to see all the different forks of major fediverse platforms. Just learning about Chuckya, a "soft fork" of glitch-soc, which itself is a fork of Mastodon.

In case you missed it, Mastodon's search system has lots of "operators", words you can include in a search to narrow down the results. For example to just show your own posts include from:me in your search.
There is a complete list of operators plus instructions for how to to use them at:

why on #Mastodon and #fediverse in general posts are more often boosted than liked (or favorited)?
If you boost something then people (like your follower) see the boosted post. If you like a post only the poster sees it. Ok, we here with other software then Mastodon can also look who has boosted or liked something and we can also use custom reactions, which is more then the star (this features maybe come when Meta buys Mastodon 
). Same as quotes.
But booth, boosts and likes bring another problem. If you boost something, does it mean you agree, is it your opinion or you just want to let people know about it (thats why quotes exists). Same with a like, does it mean, ok I noticed it, yes I agree ... or just think someone shares a bad happening or experience. Does a like then mean, that you find it good ... for that are custom reactions made where you can use emojis to express your feelings or opinions. But sadly, the lead developer of Mastodon denies to implement this things.
