From 2016 and my Hadrian's Wall trek. I'd crossed the border into Cumbria at this point (less buses I remember) and this is a section near the river crossing where a Roman bridge stood, a mile or so from the river which had changed course significantly since the Roman Empire was in Britain.

Hiking with son 2, 3 and 4 yesterday. We hiked a local route about an hour away from home. The route went through a varied landscape and we passed by forests, meadows, lakes, old (medieval) quarries and much more.
