This is a really big escalation in attacking trans people and their providers. Let me say that I live in the area from which this grand jury investigation was promulgated. This is absolutely jurisdictional shopping. I’m not positive, but I may have been called for this case. I was recently summoned for grand jury, but was voir dired out when they found out I had a PhD in bioethics. It could be coincidence though.
No prosecutor in #Texas should be able to bring cases against doctors in another state that have no connection to Texas. It’s insane overreach.
Look man, trans folk have been around as long as there have been folks. They’re not hurting anyone, in fact they themselves are suffering an enormous amount of harm by people just not letting them live their lives.
