Summer is not so patiently waiting for her pal to come home. One of the grandkids volunteered to drive him to and from his PET scan.

Since my husband is on a very restricted diet today I'm not cooking or baking anything good. I don't want to make him any more miserable by enticing him to eat what he can't.
We are getting through it together.
This afternoon the three of us cuddled up to watch a movie.
A good distraction.
We were half way through the movie when I happened to look out the window. Low and behold there was a piece of a brilliant rainbow.
We put the movie on hold and ran outside to enjoy the rainless rainbow moment.
More stormy weather to come but a few lovely rainbow minutes made our day.

Summer loves the sun.
This warm afternoon is a total surprise.
Summer is not one to waste a perfect moment to connect with her inner self and meditate. She could attain total mindfulness any minute.
Just breathin and chillin herself to a state of total relaxation and zero anxiety.

A Giant Dark Horsefly - Tabanus sudeticus, the largest fly in Europe
This was sat on a car in the rain, fortunately this one is a male, only the females bite and only when they need the extra protein to create eggs, the rest of the year like the male pictured the female feeds mainly on nectar.
