What she wanted to ask me about was commercials. She wants to know why wrinkles are bad and need to be dealt with. She pointed out that she personally has a lot of wrinkles. I laughed and said that we have wrinkles in common.
I told her that humans often equate less wrinkles with youth and because advertisers know that humans equate youth with looking more desirable they can sell people potions promising a younger look. It is convoluted and nonsensical because humans who are old really can't hide it and people who are young are all beautiful. There isn't really a go back potion.
I told her I plan to keep my wrinkles and my money and be satisfied with how I look for my age. She said good. She will too.

We all enjoyed eight hours of restful sleep. A rare occurrence.
I was surprised that Summer wasn't at my side to start chores so I started without her.
Then I heard the ruckus.
I ran back downstairs and there they were rolling around on the floor. Happy as can be.
Oh my goodness.
Somebody needed a hand up and it wasn't Summer.
Don't know what I'm going to do with these two.
Keep them I guess.
Good morning, Mastodon

No matter. Summer and I had to get out to plant the last of the new and dozens of last year tulip bulbs.
A little teamwork made it quick and easy.
She really is the best garden helper.
The only big job left will be digging up the begonias.
Another day I think.
Summer deserved a treat for her hard work.

Breezy but warm and sunny.
I couldn't deny Summer a beach adventure. Just an hour out of our chore time to make the quick drive to the shore. Running up and down the beach singing and playing while we leave our cares back at the car is worth that, right?
We think so.

She thinks I'm a sorry substitute.
I try my best.

She says she is entitled to a rest break every four hours and that she is too tired to make it all the way to her dog bed.
I tried to tell her that she needs to pace herself because we still have a hundred tulip bulbs to plant.
She just gave me this look.
In a minute she will be refreshed and ready to go again.
I hope.

We worked so hard today.
Dozens and dozens of tulips were planted and all of the dahlias are ready for winter. Two dozen new fancy daffodils were planted too.
Our begonias are still in pots waiting for me to dig them up to store until springtime. Maybe next week.
Summer was a huge help.
She brought me the new packages of bulbs one at a time so we could plant them together.
She understands the assignment and is very careful handling her part of the project.
I love that she loves to work in the garden.
