📣 Hey people who eat beef!
You can very greatly reduce your food's environmental impact by switching to pretty much any other food apart from beef. Beef causes by far the greatest amount of CO2 emissions per gram of food.
Other meats have only a fraction of the CO2 emissions of beef, and plant-based food is even less. See the attached chart for some emissions numbers of common foods.
More info at https://ourworldindata.org/food-choice-vs-eating-local which is also the source of the chart.

Chemical analysis of natural CO₂ rise over the last 50,000 years shows that today's rate is 10 times faster
Today's rate of atmospheric carbon dioxide increase is 10 times faster than at any other point in the past 50,000 years, researchers have found through a detailed chemical analysis of ancient Antarctic ice.Michelle Klampe (Phys.org)

I really don't get why a campaign whose only platform was 'anything other than what that guy says' wouldn't be popular.
The fact that #Biden is doing that plus fighting for #ClimateChange and building infrastructure and lowering prescription drug prices and fighting for abortion access and more and still can't get 50% of the US on board is truly baffling to me.

Have you noticed that whenever corporate media decides to publish one of their rare articles about global warming, they almost always will headline it with a cheerful photo of people at the beach, or happily enjoying the sun?
It's a subliminal message.
Yes, the words you're reading might be alarming, but that's okay. We've got this. Business and industry and government will work together to solve the problem. There's nothing to worry about.
