A 14-foot model of the original Star Trek Enterprise NCC 1701 hangs in the second story picture window of a house on 46th Avenue in the Outer Sunset. The Enterprise boldly fills up the window, stretching from one side to the other and then some. Other details: the house is painted sage green and has deco trim on the facade. There's a flagpole with some kind of red white and blue flag hanging out front. On the left there's a yellow painted house. And most importantly, fuck David Ellison.

Any experience/feedback on K&F Concept gear? I'm potentially looking at getting an ND filter and tripod from them.

They seem quite reasonably priced, and I'm on a tight budget, but I don't want them to end up being shit 💩

Red Coat

Our first visit to Dettifoss in north-eastern Iceland was in September 2014. This mighty waterfall has a width of ≈100 metres (330 feet) and a plunge of 44 metres (144 feet) into Jökulsárgljúfur, with an average flow rate of 193 metres³/second (6816 feet³/second).

I stood on a high viewpoint looking down at the thundering cascade, white with foam.

The photographer didn't know he was being watched, or that he had my rainbow right next to him

Die Ruine der Nikolaikirche Trzęsacz Westpommern:

1901 stürzte die Kirche infolge von Unterwaschungen des Steilufers durch die Ostsee halb ab. Über Jahre war die Kirchenruine ein beliebtes Motiv für Landschaftsmaler. Lionel Feininger malte die Ruine mehrfach.

☠️ The silent scream! This stone skull that sits in the shade of 200-year-old beech trees; the grave itself is over 150 years old.

The skull’s mouth is grotesquely agape in a centuries-long silent scream, resting on a pillow of crossed femur bones. Bright green moss covers the gravestone, accentuating the hollow eye sockets and the tortured grimace of the macabre.

Damp red sandstone mottled with black, sprinkled with young feathery candleflame lichens.
A bit of rotting lumber with what I think is staghorn's fungus rising up like skeletal fingers.
iNaturalist tells me this is Xylodon flaviporus growing on my porch, but all I can see is what looks like a little bleached corral reef covered in algae.
I like to take regular photos of the golden fan shaped jelly fungus growing in the cracks of the green paint on my old bench. I only get to see it after a few days of rain, it always looks so pretty.

Eine alte Eiche am Ufer eines Teiches, viele Wurzeln liegen frei im Sand, doch der Baum scheint dennoch fest verwurzelt zu sein. Das Foto zeigt den unteren Teil des Stammes und die Wurzeln, die sich in den Hang zu graben scheinen. An old oak tree on the bank of a pond; many of its roots are exposed in the sand, yet the tree still appears to be firmly rooted. The photograph shows the lower part of the trunk and the roots, which seem to be burrowing into the slope.

Reposting a photo from a 2013 San Francisco Pride celebration. I took this photo a few months after the 9th Circuit Court ruled California's ban on gay marriage was unconstitutional. It was a full 2 years later that the Supreme Court's Obergefell ruling legalized gay marriage across the United States.

I wish my best to these two, wherever they are. I hope they are as happy as Chris and I are now.
