This image showcases an architectural detail of a building façade. At the centre is a decorative stone relief featuring the stylised face of a lion. The lion’s mouth is open, forming an arch around a small, rectangular stained-glass window. The stained glass is composed of irregular, mosaic-like pieces in shades of blue, creating a striking geometric pattern. At first glance, it looks as if the lion is puking water. The surrounding area of the building appears to be made of dark stone and there‘s a rainwater pipe visible next to the lion.

A gable and turret from a neighbouring 1860s Victorian gothic church reflected in a window of the 2010s Gurdwara Singh Sahba on Claremonth Street in the West End of Glasgow. It's this sort of mix of complimentary architectural styles sitting side by side to create a single united streetscape which, for me, helps make Glasgow such a special place to live.

The image shows the interior of the Cincinnati Union Terminal's main concourse. This iconic building, an Art Deco masterpiece, is a National Historic Landmark in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Opened in 1933, the terminal is famous for its massive half-dome ceiling, which was the largest in the Western Hemisphere at the time. The interior features curving, layered bands of stucco painted in yellow, orange, and silver tones, characteristic of the Art Deco style.

The #Library of the Academy of Letters is in a former cavalry stable. The #horses have left their marks, and they have been carefully preserved. ❤️

Note the dark grey limestone feeding troughs at the back, and the iron rings in the wall.
