Located in the Vatnajökull National Park, it is Iceland's deepest glacier lake and an incredible sight, where the big glaciers turn into a lake, forming small icebergs that then float out towards the ocean (foreshadowing the content of upcoming next posts).

A moody, monochrome picture of the San Francisco Bay waterfront, taken yesterday, for 4:11 p.m., a few hours before the start of a promised two weeks worth of rain. Above, stormy skies. On the left, Pier 80 with two ships docked alongside the pier's single story shed. On the right, Pier 90, with a low slung barge docked next to seven story grain silos. This pier has been crumbling for decades and it days are numbered. In the center, the broad Islais Inlet. Here, the waters of a creek that begins 3-4 miles away, widen and flow out to the bay.
