I’m not sure if anyone’s been miffed regarding YouTube video previews not showing on Mastodon, but it’s bugged me no end! I had a little play here, and noticed copying the required video link from the address bar and changing the “m.youtube.com” section to “www.youtube.com” loads the preview! I’m on an iPhone, but hopefully it’ll work for others. Thanks!
I'm still playing with editing and content creation outside of Tiktok. So expect plenty of new videos as I am making plenty of projects to learn and play more with @kdenlive and editing as a basic concept. En av baksidorna med Mastodon är ju videohanteringen, med rätt begränsade möjligheter att lägga upp filmklipp direkt (man kan lägga ut små klipp på 10-15 sekunder, som nedan, men längre klipp slår snabbt i mb-gränsen).
Ett alternativ är så klart Youtube – vars videor kan bäddas in här (liksom Peertube) – men tycker all reklam där är tröttsam.
