Night sky over a calm lake: Star trails are reflected symmetrically in the water. Because the camera was pointed directly north and the horizon with the tree line on the opposite shore was placed in the center, the star trails form two concavely curved circular arcs that are mirrored in the lake.

Morgennebel im Wald: Die grauen Bäume scheinen zu tanzen und strecken ihre Arme (Äste) gen Himmel. Der Nebel zieht von links ins Bild und schafft eine mystische Atmosphäre. In der rechten Bildmitte steht eine Bank, unter der sich eine kleine, mit Moos und Gras bewachsene Abbruchkante befindet. Der Hintergrund ist unscharf, mit vielen Bäumen in einem zarten Grünton. Morning mist in the forest: the grey trees seem to be dancing, stretching their arms (branches) skywards. The mist drifts into the frame from the left, creating a mystical atmosphere. A bench stands in the centre-right, with a small ledge covered in moss and grass beneath it. The background is blurred, with many trees in a delicate shade of green.

Eine Holzbrücke führt über einen kleinen Flusslauf mit Steinen und Felsbrocken im Wasser. Links und rechts Wald mit Bäumen, Büschen und Farnen. Ein kleiner Pfad führt von der Brücke in den Wald. Die Stimmung ist friedlich, die Farben grün-grau-silber, die Blätter noch nass vom Regen. A wooden bridge spans a small stream with stones and boulders in the water. To the left and right, there is woodland with trees, bushes and ferns. A narrow path leads from the bridge into the woods. The atmosphere is peaceful; the colours are green, grey and silver, and the leaves are still wet from the rain.

Think this is a male, it was about 3mm in length. The bottom of the frame looks weird because it’s a leaf that is closer to the lens.

Eine alte Eiche am Ufer eines Teiches, viele Wurzeln liegen frei im Sand, doch der Baum scheint dennoch fest verwurzelt zu sein. Das Foto zeigt den unteren Teil des Stammes und die Wurzeln, die sich in den Hang zu graben scheinen. An old oak tree on the bank of a pond; many of its roots are exposed in the sand, yet the tree still appears to be firmly rooted. The photograph shows the lower part of the trunk and the roots, which seem to be burrowing into the slope.
