- If you're locked in to Amazon with previous media purchases commit to no additional purchases. No more.
- Otherwise, delete your Amazon account. You can get their stuff elsewhere.
- Stop using Google's browser, search, services. Delete your account if possible.
- Stop using Microsoft's services services. Delete your account if possible.

Commit to getting out of these services. Stop using them, stop giving them your money.

(Interesting fact: I've had this image on my phone for a while now and used it a lot. But suddenly #Google is repeatedly removing it from my phone, and it's getting harder and harder to find a copy on the internet. It's a real photo, not AI. But it looks like some of that $75M grift included getting Donald's billionaire data pals to clean up the internet of her #Epstein past. I'm curious to see if they can or will delete it from Mastodon. So I'm hoping this is a way to safely archive it.)

I watch #YouTube for stuff like food videos, travel, old video games... anything to try to help mental health in the current situation.

But YouTube's "suggestions" bar consistently brings up videos that are political propaganda for the far right.

Just now it suggested "How the Nazis created an economic miracle" FFS 🤮

(And before someone who's watched the video claims it's more nuanced etc etc etc, what percentage are going to actually watch every video on their suggestions? The main effect of this suggestion is a banner ad doing PR for Hitler.)

I've edited out the name of the channel to avoid giving it visibility.

Hier kann man wieder sehen, dass "Komfort" (oder was auch immer die Amerikaner dafür halten) ein natürlicher Feind Sicherheit ist. Google hatte ein Verfahren namens Fast Pair ersonnen, das die Kopplung von Bluetooth (BT) Zubehörgeräten mit Android vereinfachen soll. Gut gedacht, schlecht gemacht. Forschende der Uni Leuven (Belgien) haben schon im vorigen Jahr eine Schwachstelle in dem System gefunden und vertraulich an Google gemeldet. Wann genau das war, ist nirgends dokumentiert. Die zugeordnete Fehlernummer CVE-2025-36911 muss (aus der Zahl zu schließen) ungefähr um die Jahresmitte vergeben worden sein.

It always amazes me how many people cant be bothered to change their default search engine. It is by far the easiest way to "stick it to the man".

I have been using Duck for the past 10 years. Occasionally I might check with the other engines if I cant find something but has become vary rare. The NOAI version only strengthens the case.

@hacks4pancakes This’ll get me a whole lot of business helping clients finally migrate off #Gmail. Several had already been making noises about that being a goal for the year, but this’ll be the last straw for many.

People will literally pay not to have this. (They won’t pay #Google to be rid of the misfeature, but they’ll pay for the absence of it.)
