Vance, like so many others, wildly overestimates Trump's capacity for strategic thinking. He has been trying to conjure a perpetual get-out-of-jail-free card since he entered office & with the entitled logic of a spoiled child he thinks putting it on a grown-up looking piece of paper makes it real.
Also, maybe focus on the fucking multitude of crimes he's already committed, over the ones he's going to commit? If you deal with the former, it also solves the latter, you see.

As a white Southerner in the United States, I am deeply appalled. Words absolutely fail to describe how this gerrymandering could downspiral from the loss of political representation for Black Americans to loss of professional opportunities and individual personal freedoms. And don't get me started about educational equality. This is an outrage, and an assault against the memory of the Black slaves whose labor literally built the Southlands from the ground up. It's a misery and a heartbreak for their descendants, many of whom still live in poverty, oppression, and injustice.
