The 3 PCs I just brought in for my employer were $1079 a week ago, and are now $1320.

The memory prices are already making their way to pre-builts.

The SSDs, memory modules AND HDDs in my purchase history have all gone up substantially, if not out of stock completely.

The crowd funded public data server with 8x refurb data center HDDs was around $1200. Now it would be $1600.

This is bad. 2026 will be special.

Are there any software projects that people would be willing to pay a small weekly or monthly contribution to support me while I develop it? I need a way to feed my family, and I don't like asking for handouts.

Please respond with ideas of things you'd like to see exist, that you'd maybe be willing to contribute an ongoing nonzero amount towards, and boost for reach. If you don't have idea of your own, that's fine. Boosting will still help!

Connecticut towers insist they’re selling junk cars. It’s impossible to know the conditions of every vehicle.

But an analysis by The Connecticut Mirror and ProPublica shows that in nearly half the cases, the asking price was 50% or less of the book value.
