A couple of days ago I went and bought my very first digital camera, a used Fujifilm X-E4. I've been thinking about buying a camera for a long time, but I was never too serious about it. It was always more like "it would be nice to have a good camera and actually learn photography".

I must say it has been a lot more fun taking pictures with an actual camera than with my phone, even if the results are not that good yet. I have a lot to learn...

A color portrait photo of rock imagery pecked into a canyon wall. The canyon wall is mostly covered in dark patina but someone hundreds of years ago literally pecked the image of (perhaps) a person with their arms extended and pointing downward and their legs spread wide and similarly pointing downward in a ninety degree fashion. The pecking created a salt and pepper look in the figure's body. The head has eyes and a mouth and prominent ears sticking out. (Note: I only describe the image as they are regarded in modern culture for the benefit of those with limited or no vision. Generally, it is not recommended in Visit With Respect guidelines, established by local Natives, to imbue any meaning upon ancient rock images as we are not of the culture that made them.)

They are a group of overlapping anthropomorphs, each with strange heads or headdresses that have elements that look like horns, feathers, and earrings. Cool Springs on Route 66 in Western Arizona. This is what it looked like ten years ago. Sadly, a new owner (I think), has completely trashed it out with garbage plastic souvenir displays and t-shirt racks in front of the building.

"JetBlue flight reports striking drone while landing at JFK" by ABCπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ News - JetBlue plane arriving at JFK reported hitting a drone just above the windscreen at 3000ft altitude. The collision was over Lower New York Bay a mile from nearest land. No damage found on the aircraft after landing. We see the less of the right side wall as the camera is pointed more at the left side and front door. The building is made of light colored brick. Over the front door is a glass pane that says, "Bank," across the top. On the left wall is a large window and across the top it says, "Grand Circle T-shirts," with images of ancient petroglyphs in front of the writing.
