It has a square door facing to the right. The other is to the right and appears as a brick wall with three ninety degrees bends as it goes toward the back of the crevice. In the middle ground is a large boulder. Behind the boulder is a small sapling pinon pine tree. The shadow of a dead tree is cast on the sandstone in the foreground. A couple of its limbs are visible on the left side of the frame.

Nielsen Grist Mill built in 1893 by Niels Hansen for Hans Peter Nielsen. The mill was powered by water from the Fremont River. Farmers would receive one sack of flour for three sacks of wheat. The mill operated until the 1930s. Apparently, the mill still contains its original equipment. It is on private property and not open to the public. (West of Torrey, Utah, 10/25/2024.)

On the inter-tidal zone of the Durham Heritage Coast at Seaham in North East England, a clue bearing witness to the town's industrial heritage.
Not sure how long these old wagon wheels have been here, but it's a good few years since since I first happened upon them.
I'm by no means the only one who's thought they make a great photographic subject, but I don't know how much longer before the inevitable corrosion takes its toll.

Late evening photo of a tall square tower with a pointed roof just under which are internally illuminated clock faces on each side. To the left is a silhouette of another large square tower with smaller ornate towers on each corner. Before both of these is a bridge crossing a river which is sky-lit in the bottom-right corner by the orange-blue darkening sky. The arches under the bridge are lit from the inside and across its top are two sets of old-fashioned streetlights and many pedestrians, just about visible in the dark.

A giant 10 foot tall balloon in the shape of a serpent/snake is coiled in the driveway of a Victorian house. The striped snake body rises up... and out of its open mouth a smaller snake head emerges. I've been told this creature is from Beetlejuice. Sounds about right. Taken on Halloween, in Noe Valley, San Francisco. Not shown: all the trick-or-treaters I had to growl at to get them out of the frame. Little bastards.

Something that looks like a deer to us may have been something entirely different to the person who drew it. I feel it is cultural appropriation for modern humans to interpret rock art. Frankly, I even have a problem with using the term art for the images.) The four figures appear to our modern eyes as two elk on the left, a large long and fat bison with a small head in the middle, and a person with a bow and arrow on the right. The person is pointing the bow and arrow at the image that looks like a bison. The images are crude and drawn in a red-brown ocher paint.
