Fulfilling an annual requirement (it's the law!), here is a picture of a row of houses on a steep hill, San Francisco style. Created by tilting the camera until the street and parked cars are horizontal, the houses appear tilted, leaning into each other for support. In fact the greenish three story condo building in the center of this picture looks particularly drunk. But hey, it's Friday and the cocktail hour approaches.

May’s full moon is the Flower Moon, also known by Indigenous names like the Planting Moon (Cherokee), the Moon of Weeding Corn (Algonquin), and the Field Maker Moon (Abenaki).

Somewhere near its western edge is Carroll Crater, newly named by the Artemis II crew for the deceased wife of Commander Reid Wiseman. What a profoundly human gesture — to grace Luna with names tied to the rhythms of our lives, and to love.

Lot of pink magnolias around town but not many yellow. I've one nearby but it's small & its blooms brown before opening. Happy to find this one in its prime earlier this month but it's on the other side of town so I don't catch it every yr.
