A very red mid-1950s Ford Thunderbird convertible, with stylish chrome trim, smallish rear fins, and a giant spare tire compartment above the rear bumper. Photographed from the rear at a 45° angle behind the right tail light, the car is stunning. It stands there in full glory, shining in the sun, top down, on a dirt patch of ground facing the Pacific Ocean. The white wall tires are a nice, and necessary, touch. Note: there's a bumper sticker on the rear tire compartment that says, in large white letters, I'D RATHER BE SMASHING IMPERIALISM. We all would be, car. We all would be.

Hochkant-Fotografie der Milchstraße. Das Bild ist eingerahmt von Felsen in der oberen linken und unteren rechten Ecke, wobei vor allem der Rechte von unten sanft gelblich angestrahlt wird. Im Zentrum steht das Milchstraßenband, welches sich nahezu senkrecht aus dem Horizont am unteren Bildrand erhebt und über das ganze streckt. Die Strukturen sind deutlich zu erkennen und auch die Farben sind zu erahnen. Am Horizont unten steht ein schmales Wolkenband zwischen gelber Lichtverschmutzung. First-off, sorry to anyone seeing this twice for no good reason. There was a reason, a software-related one, but not necessarily good. I lost a few days of posts due to a backup.

Anyhoo, here's the trip to Old Hollow Lake and Salem Lake last week. Man, do I wish I had the original draft for this post so I didn't have to write this out again lol.

I walked 1/3 of the 7 mile hike before my leg started hating me again... but as we all know, going 1/3 in means I had to turn around and take it all back. So, yeah, stubborn me never learns his lesson. I have taken a resolution to completing the 7 mile hike of Salem Lake at some point, but I'll have to return much later, much more prepared and with my leg actually healed.

Anyway, here's the four bests I chose from this trip but like I said when I posted this originally, it was between a few, so, others may trickle in.
