Das Bild zeigt eine Landschaftsaufnahme, die sich auf einen grasbewachsenen Hügel konzentriert, der von unten nach oben fotografiert wurde. Im Vordergrund dominiert ein Feldweg, der sich durch grünes und gelbes Gras schlängelt und zum oberen Rand des Hügels führt. Der Blickwinkel ist so gewählt, dass der Hügel fast die gesamte untere Hälfte des Bildes einnimmt. Am oberen Rand des Hügels, vor dem Horizont, sind zwei Personen zu sehen, die in die Ferne blicken oder weitergehen. Die Person links trägt dunkle Kleidung und eine helle Tasche, die Person rechts trägt ebenfalls dunkle Kleidung. Links neben den Personen steht ein kleiner, dunkler Pfahl. Der Himmel im oberen Teil des Bildes ist dynamisch und mit dramatischen, bauschigen weißen und grauen Wolken gefüllt, die einen Kontrast zum hellblauen Himmel bilden. Die Beleuchtung ist hell, mit deutlichen Schatten auf der linken Seite des Hügels, was auf Sonnenlicht von rechts oben hinweist.
