Hello, all. I have a small #action people can take to help out #blind users of #Signal on #IOS. Please submit a bug report about how blind people who use the #Voiceover #ScreenReader on IOS are unable to consistently open links in Signal messages.

I will detail how to do that in the IOS app below, as well as provide the text of the report I filed. It will require a thread of maybe 5 posts.

Please help with this if you’re at all able. It should take only a few minutes for most people.

I've quit advocating #Signal, once I learned about how most of the platforms which Signal runs on, collects (AI-driven) "Intelligence" - which can only provisionally be opted-out of, one informed user at a time.

But although #signal is much more popular than #matrix their relationship is like #mastodon to #bluesky. Both bluesky and signal have a #proprietary backend. although their frontent is #OpenSource they technically have a single point of failure. server/cluster down == service down

Mastodon and matrix are actual fediverse services which are undestroyable since they are many federated, independent servers.
