#YouTube has become more and more problematic throwing error messages for all sorts of reasons. Most things i watch are there given the sheer amount and variety of content vs. Peertube.

I use #FreeTube and at times have to change #VPN connections in order to watch videos, at times some will only open in a browser.

It's definitely a hot mess. I wish #Peertube were a viable alternative for more than just #foss stuff but alas, it's not even close for most of what people watch/want.

Das ist halt bei all dem #FOSS-Gewese in #Dortmund einfach deprimierend, denn eigentlich ist halt schon alles da, nur von anderen gemacht. Man könnte sich da einfach dranhängen und es nutzen, auf die Leute zugehen und es weiter ausbauen.
Stattdessen gibt es halt viele wichtige Worte und wenig bis keinen Dialog mit denen, die an der Basis bereits “digitalisieren”.
So wird das nichts mit #digitaleSouveränität, dafür müsste man liefern.

New IP leak discovered in Telegram: the built-in proxy exposes your real IP using a single-click flaw!

When you click on a "tg://proxy" link, Telegram starts a connection while ignoring your proxy settings. This exposes your real public IP address, leaking your identity online.

The malicious link appears as a nickname, but will steal your real IP address as soon as the user profile is shown. Android and iOS are both affected. Currently the only solution is using a VPN. Telegram has declared that it will only add a warning popup.
